How to Post to Assignments

Instructions: Many of the below assignments requires you work "hands on" with a supervising practicing attorney. You should not reveal any client confidences in posting any of the below assignments. These assignments supplement your work experience, but do not replace it.



Assignment # 1 - Preliminary Self-Assessment

Answer the questions # 1 through 16 Chapter 2, page 10 of our textbook, and post these answers here.  Post your Self-Assessment here

Assignment #2 - Prepare a Resume

Prepare a resume per instructions and samples given on pages 15-18 of your textbook. Post your resume here

Assignment #3 - Set out your Specific Internship objectives

Answer the questions listed on page 37 of your textbook regarding your objectives, expectations, job prospects upon completion, and types of assignments during the internship, also include a summary of the paralegal tasks required in your internship (see page 48 and 49 of the textbook) Post your objectives and expectations for the Paralegal Internship, and summarize the paralegal tasks required of you during the Paralegal Internship here

Assignment #4 - Ethical Considerations

Review the Model Standards and Guidelines for Utilization of Legal Assistants on pages 83-86, along with the Model Code of Ethics and Responsibility pages 87-92 of our textbook. Answer the exercise hypotheticals, Exercise # 1 through 10 on pages 92-95 of your textbook Post your analysis, and answers to the ethical hypothetical exercises #1-10 here.

Assignment #5 - Role, Tasks and Obligations

Remembering not to disclose any attorney-client confidences, describe your job responsibilities, chain of command, office policies, schedule times, specific job instructions, suggestions for correction and improvement, professional/career advice, and rules of conduct (avoid specifics and details, and concentrate here on general observations you have learned "on the job"). Post your job responsibilities, tasks, obligations, etc. here

Assignment #6 - Evaluation of Internship

Review questions # 1 through 9 on Student Description and Evaluation of Internship Program on page 170 of your textbook, and post your evaluation. Post your Internship Evaluation here
